Activate's Team are dedicated to assisting individuals dealing with neurological disorders. We have completed advanced post-graduate training specifically focused on the care of disorders or injuries affecting the brain, spinal cord and nervous system. Our expert knowledge and experience allow us to provide more efficient and adept interventions in the treatment of our clients.

Therapy interventions are goal oriented and may work on aspects of enhancing mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and overall function. The prescribed exercises are designed to engage the entire body and frequently involve task-oriented practice to retrain the body and the brain. 

No, you do not need a referral to access our services. 

Certainly, any documentation or recommendations provided by your healthcare team will be invaluable in guiding your care and facilitating seamless interdisciplinary communication.

A travel fee will be applied to all at-home appointments. The fee is calculated based on kilometres from your home to our address and range from $15-60. 

Late cancellations of appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be billed at full rate.

We provide direct billing services for most extended health insurers. We recommend reaching out to your insurance company to gain a comprehensive understanding of the scope and conditions of your coverage.

By booking an appointment with us, you agree to our 24-hour cancellation policy.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or miss your appointment, the full cost of the session will be charged.

We strictly adhere to this policy because late cancellations affect many people — yourself, as you miss a valuable opportunity for therapy; other clients, who may be on a waiting list and could have filled your spot with enough notice; and our therapists and administrative team, who have prepared for your appointment, reserved space in the clinic, and rely on filled schedules for their livelihood.

We do appreciate that people get sick or face unexpected situations — and as we work with a medically vulnerable community, this happens frequently. However, this is not a basis for waiving late fees and consideration is already taken into account by requiring only 24 hours.  Our policy helps us provide fairness and consistency to all our clients.

We require a valid credit card on file to book your appointment. Your card will only be charged upon the completion of your session or in the event of a late cancellation in keeping with this policy.

Reach out to your insurance company to gain a comprehensive understanding of the scope and conditions of your coverage. Please note that insurance providers do not provide coverage for late cancellation or missed appointment fees.

YES we do! But, please take note that we do not provide direct billing in these circumstances.

WSBC and ICBC:

Activate does not have a contract with WorkSafe BC nor ICBC and cannot direct bill for physiotherapy services related to work place injuries nor motor vehicle accidents. 

Clients in these situations are responsible for arranging with their case manager for coverage and personal reimbursement of all physiotherapy services, treatment plans and reporting expenses.

MSP: 

Activate has opted out of direct MSP billing. While we are happy to help you to submit your claim, we require full payment at the time of treatment and MSP will reimburse you directly. 

For qualified individuals MSP provides benefits that cover $23 per visit for physiotherapy, up to a combined total of 10 visits per year.  You can find more details and check eligibility here.

Our clinic is the south-west side of the 152nd and Hwy10 intersection. Across from the YMCA and in the Benchmark West complex with other tenants including Village Church and CDI at #308 14928 56th Ave, Surrey, BC

Ample visitor parking, including reserved accessibility spots at the main entrance, is available.  

The clinic is fully wheelchair and mobility aid accessible, with an elevator up to the third floor and accessibility-friendly bathrooms.
